//Chemspec Europe 2012

Chemspec Europe 2012, held at the Gran Via Exhibition Centre in Barcelona, was hailed by many exhibitors and visitors as being “the best Chemspec ever”, attracting key industry executives and decision makers from over 50 countries.

Total trade attendance of 5,003 • 54 countries represented • 393 exhibitors

Visitors numbers were up 20% on the 2011 show in Geneva, reflecting among other things a very healthy turnout from Spain. As ever, the visitors were highly diversified in nature, though the vast majority of them were chemical manufacturers and distributors.

“It’s good. We’re seeing the people we want to see” Mike Holding, Contract Chemicals (Exhibitor)

“I was quite cynical before we came about whether we’d see the people we wanted to but there has been a lot of interest” Nick Daniels, EPC-UK Additives (Exhibitor)

“Everyone’s really busy, even on the second day” Michael East, Tosoh USA (Visitor)

“It’s a nice combination of planned appointments and walk-on traffic” Ron Epstein, Halocarbon (Exhibitor)

“Yesterday and today, we have been busy. We had some excellent leads that will turn into real business” Frank Wisser, WIL Research (Exhibitor)

Interest for Chemspec Europe 2013, taking place in Munich over the 5-6 June, is very strong. For further information see www.chemspeceurope.com
