//Chemspec Europe 2014: Success in quality and innovation


Registration - Chemspec Europe 2014 - Budapest Hungary 404 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions took part in the exhibition. With trade attendees from almost 60 countries visiting the pavilions and on stand display areas across two halls in the “Hungexpo Exhibition Centre” in Budapest, Chemspec Europe can claim itself to be a very well attended show.

Amongst the attendees members from the “Speciality Chemical” sector dominated with 32%, followed by the members from the “General Chemicals & Miscellaneous” sector with 23%.

19% of the attendees did belong to the “Agrochemical & related / Other Life Sciences” sector, 13% came from the “Pharmaceuticals & related” sector, and there was also a noticeable interest from the “CRO / CMO / Outsourced Services” sector with 11% and the “Equipment” sector with still 2%.

Chemspec Europe 2014 scores with high quality visitors

Chemspec Europe 2014 was crowned with success as exhibitors were fascinated by a great atmosphere onsite and high quality visitors from all over Europe and further afield. Manufacturers, suppliers and end-users from a wealth of sectors could connect and network within one place.

Robert Bloodworth, Head of procurement and supply chain at Saltigo, Germany said: “It was a busy show for us. We made many new contacts and met new people – suppliers and customers alike. We had many good talks and visitors came along with very interesting questions and topics.”

Katalin Gero, Sales Manager at UBICHEM Pharma Group, Hungary, was very satisfied with the show: “Thank you for organising the show this year in Budapest. It was a great event - especially for us as we are Hungarians - and we have had lots of meetings with nice expectations for our future business.”

Dr Gert de Coster, Custom Synthesis Business Senior Manager for Sales and Marketing at Sumitomo Chemical Europe said: “Chemspec Europe is a show with a fantastic atmosphere. It has a ‘family spirit’ and we like the human approach.”

Markus Blocher, Chairman and CEO from Dottikon , Switzerland stated: “We were pleased with the good networking opportunities and had high quality meetings.”

Networking meets innovation

Whilst exhibitors particularly highlighted the footfall of high quality visitors onsite Chemspec Europe in Budapest, also the series of free to attend conferences, seminars and workshops held over both days of the show were met with great interest amongst both exhibitors and visitors.

Chemspec Europe again provided the perfect platform where new technologies are premiered alongside further innovative developments.

Important guests on the show floor

The Indian ambassador Malay Mishra visited Chemspec Europe 2014 on the first day of the exhibition; the guest country Hungary was represented by its Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Áron Lenner.

Chemspec Europe 2015 to be set the largest on record

“The overall positive feedback about Chemspec Europe demonstrates its high demand among our partners and companies in the chemical sector”, says Steve Diprose, Vice President of Quartz Chemicals Ltd, organiser of Chemspec Europe 2014. “We are pleased that the high quality status of the show and its place in the chemical industry were confirmed again. Therefore we are looking forward to our next year’s show, which will take place in Cologne, Germany from the 24 – 25 June 2015. We will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Chemspec Europe at Köln Messe and it is set to be the largest Chemspec Europe on record.”
