Quartz Business Media

Our Internship Programme

Supporting the next generation of event and publishing professionals.

A new initiative we are introducing in 2024 is the Quartz Internship. Our internship programme is open to those looking to kick start their career in the events or publishing industry. Join us from September and you’ll meet, learn from, and work with Senior People in the team – with opportunities across areas such as sales, marketing and operations.

Far from shadowing, our programme is a genuine challenge. You’ll get an understanding of how an events and publishing company operates, take on meaningful work and have an opportunity to develop key business skills.

What else?

You’ll also work together with your fellow interns on a team project, presenting the results to the wider business; another chance to develop your team working skills and get valuable insight into a different part of the business. And when it’s all over, there’s the satisfaction of a job well done, as well as the chance that a successful internship may lead – if you’re successful – to an offer to join the Quartz team.

What is the structure of the programme?

Stage 1: The programme will include a 2-week induction for which reasonable travel expenses will be paid. Refreshments will also be provided.

Stage 2: This will be a 6 to 8-week programme paid at the National Minimum Wage.

Stage 3: If you are successful, you may receive an offer to join the Quartz team (subject to a 6-month probationary period).

What are the hours and where will this be based?

The programme will be run Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm based from our Office in Redhill.

There are opportunities for hybrid working at the end of the programme, upon securing a role.

I’m interested, when and where is the next internship happening?

Our internship will take place from September 2024.

What qualifications do I need?

Our internships are open to those that have completed their A levels; as well as being able to show strong interpersonal skills, you’ll be good with numbers and able to speak and write fluently in business English.

Anything else?

You must, by the start of the internship, have permission to work in the UK.

What is the recruitment process?

Upon meeting our selection criteria, you will be invited to:
