Quartz Business Media, a leading organiser of international B2B events from its HQ in Surrey, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Tony Crinion MBA as Managing Director. Tony replaces Steve Diprose, who moves to become QBM’s Chief Executive Officer, with Board Members Paul Michael and Keith Harris both becoming Co-Chairman of the company.
“We are all very excited to welcome Tony to the team. His vast experience in senior management overseeing teams globally and launching events overseas, comes as a tremendous asset to our company as we continue to invest heavily in building brands for industries around the world” says Steve Diprose, CEO of QBM.
“We have been looking for someone with a proven track record of bringing innovative ideas to life to secure long term profitability and growth. We also wanted someone who would nurture and develop the internal talent we are lucky enough to have, and Tony certainly fits the bill,” Diprose adds.
Having spent almost fifteen years working within the events industry working for United Business Media (Informa) and more recently with dmg in the Middle East as a Portfolio director, Tony brings with him a broad and deep understanding of business strategy and brand creation. Tony comments: “From Mexico to South Korea, QBM has conceptualised, developed and launched some of the most respected live events and publications in the world, truly supporting the industries that they serve. I’m hugely excited to combine my experience of managing brands and teams, with their extensive knowledge in these sectors to support their growth over the coming years.”
Quartz Business Media specialises in the organisation of B2B exhibitions and conferences and the publishing of market-leading magazines and directories across a diverse range of industry sectors, including cleaning, aluminium, glass, steel, oils & fats, tobacco and vaping.
